Laur (30) asks the owners’ association in the building he lives in to fix the elevator, as his girlfriend Cristina (27) is in the final trimester of her pregnancy and climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor, where the two of them live, could set off labor prematurely.
Laur (30) asks the owners’ association in the building he lives in to fix the elevator, as his girlfriend Cristina (27) is in the final trimester of her pregnancy and climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor, where the two of them live, could set off labor prematurely.
Following this encounter, the main and most powerful representative of the association, Ms. Grecu, refuses to start the operation of the elevator. She brings absurd arguments, which sometimes seem to stem from a meanness sought out for no other reason than to do harm, or simply from an unconscious carelessness regarding the fact that she lives surrounded by people.
Throughout the meeting, which takes place on the ground floor of the building and later in Ms. Grecu’s apartment, we witness an absurd world, which imposes its own rules, outside of all that is humane and logical. A world in which everyone sizes up their strength in the face of another one’s weakness, a world which estranges itself for reasons no one has revealed yet.
